Panasonic Lumix FZ50 does not support capture-image via USB

Sadly, the FZ50 firmware does not allow an USB-connected computer to capture anything. It even does not show model/serial/extension fields.
Sniff, sob! :(


While in Ubuntu Linux and gphoto2:
